In this webinar, Bram Luyten co-founder Atmire; Corinne Anderson, Institutional Repository Librarian at Qatar University; and Letitia Mukherjee, Market Development Manager of Sharing Platforms at Elsevier have discussed:

  • How DSpace plugins for ScienceDirect APIs help institutions to ingest metadata, abstracts and embargoes of articles written by their authors. The automated metadata ingest will maximize visibility, user experience and compliance of IRs. Aside from files directly uploaded in the repository, direct links to article content on the publisher website are added seamlessly. These links guide users to the best available publisher version: gold open access, full-text PDFs for users with IP access, and accepted manuscripts for other users. Learn how your IR can benefit from free DSpace and ScienceDirect API services and how Elsevier is working with IR managers and technical services to automate their processes
  • How Qatar University benefits from DSpace plug-ins and current use cases
  • How to implement the DSpace plug-ins for ScienceDirect API service and Atmire and Elsevier customer support.
